Safety. Swim. Fun.

Water safety is a skill we help you build it.

Wetlands Aquatics brings swim instruction and water-safety education to families, schools, and organizations, wherever the water is. Private lessons, group programs, and prevention education built around real confidence in and around the water.

A calmer, more confident relationship with the water.

Wetlands Aquatics was created with a simple belief: water safety should be a skill everyone has the opportunity to learn. We meet people where they are — whether that’s a first splash, a confidence-builder, or sharpening skills that could one day matter in an emergency.

Our programs blend swim instruction, water-safety education, and hands-on practice for individuals, families, schools, and organizations. Because we’re a mobile business, we bring that instruction to your pool, facility, or community — no fixed location required.

What Families Say About Wetlands Aquatics

Families trust Wetlands Aquatics for encouraging instruction, practical water-safety education, growing confidence, and creating positive experiences that help children feel safer and happier around water.

Devin is the greatest! She is so knowledgeable and professional and SO GOOD with kids! My 5 year old son adored her. He felt an immediate connection to her as she put him at ease and quickly earned his trust. He felt safe with her and she made the lessons fun. My son’s swimming skills notably improved each lesson as Devin was encouraging, keeping his confidence in the water up, and offered fresh and creative approaches to the techniques that challenged him. Devin has such wonderful energy and she’s always prompt and is a great communicator. We are so grateful to have met and worked with her

The Webhe Foxx Family

Devin was awesome to work with! I appreciate her teaching skills as she was very patient and encouraging. She also helped me overcome my fear of swimming in the deep end. Thank you!

Marlie Adult Client

Devin was the best instructor I've ever worked with. She is an incredible human being and a thoughtful coach. We worked with Devin for 72 hours and everyone in class felt so comfortable in the water after each lesson with her. It was a powerful experience we'll never forget.

Danielle Pinnock writer/producer

Devin is an amazing and knowledgeable teacher. She made swimming lessons so much fun for my kids and they have improved so much since working with her. We highly recommend her!

The Hill Family

•Loved having Devin for our two boys. She was very patient with them and really took great care and interest in them learning. My three year old was nervous, but she handled his tears, and she taught my 7 year old so much regarding the different strokes. Thank you Devin!

What Families Say About Wetlands Aquatics

Children can begin developing water familiarity as early as 3 months old. At this age, classes focus on water comfort, safe caregiver interaction, and early foundational skills. There’s no “too late” age to start—children, teens, and adults can all benefit from learning to swim.
Not at all. Classes are designed for swimmers of all experience levels, including children who have never been in a pool. We meet each swimmer where they are and build skills progressively from there.
Consistency is key. For children learning new skills, weekly classes are generally recommended to maintain familiarity and build upon previous skills. More frequent classes can be beneficial for families working toward a specific goal or preparing for a particular activity.
There isn’t a universal timeline. Progress depends on age, comfort in the water, previous experience, consistency, and individual learning needs. Rather than rushing toward a specific number of classes, we focus on building safe, functional, age-appropriate skills.
A properly fitted swimsuit is recommended. Depending on the swimmer and environment, additional sun protection or swimwear may be appropriate. Floaties and other flotation devices are not used as a substitute for learning independent water skills.
That’s completely okay. We don’t believe in forcing a swimmer through fear. Classes are structured to gradually build trust, comfort, confidence, and familiarity with the water while introducing skills at an appropriate pace.
In some cases, yes. Whether siblings should learn together depends on their ages, swimming abilities, attention spans, and individual goals. Sometimes learning separately allows each swimmer to receive more targeted instruction.
Absolutely. Swim education isn’t just for young children. Classes can support adult beginners, experienced swimmers looking to improve technique, teens preparing for water-based activities, and swimmers working toward specific goals.
The first class gives us an opportunity to get to know the swimmer, establish comfort in the water, and evaluate their current abilities. We use this time to identify strengths, areas for development, and an appropriate starting point for their instruction.
Depending on your location and program, we can discuss available options for instruction. When reaching out, let us know your location and pool access, and we can help determine what arrangement works best.
